Life Lessons Everyone Learns Too Late

By mohitbisht

We all have our ups and downs in life. There are events and situations that we can’t avoid. It’s how we take them and make the best out of them that matters. Many of us learn this lesson little late though. This is a common phenomenon. We first encounter something, then experience a few things on it, get bored with it to start learning the lessons, feel like experimenting over the same thing, get frustrated with getting no results and stop learning anything from it. If you seek to implement these realizations in your life, your life will be much better than your former self. Everyone wants to stay positive at every point of their life.

Life is unfair

First and foremost, you must accept that no one is given a flawless life; instead, you must create one. Because we are only kidding ourselves if we start anticipating every blessing on our breakfast table without any effort. The life we desire is on the other side of the difficult effort we despise.

As a result, you must stop expecting and begin working. You should begin working on perfecting your flawed existence since only you have the ability to shape your life into the shape that you expect from a miracle.

 It’s all temporary

The second thing you must understand is that neither your personality nor your blessings are everlasting in your life. When you grasp this, you will no longer be able to compel people to stay in your life and will be able to let go of anyone who wishes to leave. This makes you mentally strong since no one else can make you happy or sad once you stop pressuring others to stay in your life. You become the exclusive source of your joy and sorrow. To put it another way, you become an Autophile.

Fear is always beneath the anger

You were born with two emotions, fear and anger. Everything else you had to learn.

When we’re not able to control our emotions, we can easily fall victim to the rage that comes with fear and lead ourselves into a self-destructive downward spiral of negativity. When we live in that state of mind, it limits our ability to think and work clearly, which has the potential to cause serious problems.

On the other hand, when you control your anger, you can tackle any challenging situation calmly and the element of versatility adds up to your personality. Calm brains are actually the genius ones.

Risk is taking no Risk

In this modern era where the world has become a global village, it’s important to take risks. The daily lives of successful people require them to take action and take risks. Though there is a chance to lose if you take the risk, if you are not taking the risk, you are already at a loss and this loss is way more harmful than the first one. If you are not taking risks and staying still, the world will crush you and move forward. Now it’s all up to you.

There is no such thing as a lifetime

Some of the biggest life lessons we learn come from the simple fact that this life isn’t permanent. From there, we can start to set our priorities and make decisions wisely.

Why? Because life is all about setting priorities, making the right decisions, and knowing what is really important. With this in mind, we have to invest time wisely so that it’s spent on what is valuable to us. Why? Because time is more important than money (and it’s also non-renewable!).

So let’s set goals, make investments, and build relationships—all while keeping in mind that we need to do this now because this life is not permanent.

Overthinking makes things bigger

I’m not saying that thinking is the problem. Thinking is never the problem. Thinking can be a useful thing, if it’s done in the right way, for example, when we plan for something important or try to figure out if something is worth a shot or not. But it’s not always like that. Sometimes we think too much and overthink things.

The problem with overthinking is that we make things bigger just by thinking about them too much. We make mountains out of molehills, as they say. We make problems where there are none and sometimes we even make up solutions for these problems.

But what if we tried to do the opposite? What if we tried to think less? Perhaps that would solve some of our problems? After all, we were born with two ears and one mouth for a reason — so that we could listen twice as much as we speak — perhaps the same applies to thinking?

The choice to be happy is ours

Another important life lesson is that happiness is a personal choice. Only you have the power to make yourself happy. Ninety percent of happiness comes from within, and you have control over your emotions. You will never be happy if you anticipate someone else coming into your life and making you happy.

On the other side, if you begin to ignore other people and spend more time with yourself, happiness will naturally surround you. You can only make other people happy if you are happy yourself. So, starting today, spend time with yourself and see how your stressful life transforms into a pleasant and happy life.

Bounce point  – Never believe that your knowledge is complete

The most essential life lesson to acquire today is that your knowledge is never complete. Because life teaches you a new lesson at every stage, every human is in the learning phase till death.

As a result, never assume that your knowledge is comprehensive, as this is a fool’s assertion. Be a good listener and attempt to learn something new from everyone you meet on a daily basis.
